ABOUT THE STUDIO

Founded by Susana Goss, the studio is a full-service practice operating at the intersection of architecture, interior design, and bespoke curation. Drawing from early memories of European architecture and the humble honesty of natural materials, Susana’s work is defined by warm minimalism, spatial clarity, and tactile richness.

We believe that a home cannot be truly cohesive when architecture, interiors and object curation are treated as separate disciplines. By orchestrating every phase, from initial architectural drawings and interior elevations to custom furniture commission and ultimate styling, we craft environments that feel considered, complete, and deeply personal.

Susana Goss

PRINCIPAL DESIGNER & FOUNDER

Susana is an acclaimed designer whose work and life are informed by her diverse cultural background. Born in Portugal, she brings a storied perspective to her work, which has been shaped by her upbringing both in Europe and the United States.

Susana holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree and began her career in Boston, where she specialized in designing and managing urban infrastructure, luxury residential, and housing projects. It was during this time that she developed her talent as a collaborator, working closely with clients to understand their unique vision and translate it into intentional design solutions.

In addition to her architectural practice, Susana served as an Adjunct Professor of Architecture, teaching students the importance of process-led design and cultivating a passion for education. This experience laid the foundation for her approach to every project, where she guides clients through a process of shedding preconceptions to reveal the heart of their home.

With over 25 years of experience, Susana’s signature approach is rooted in heritage and the stories of her client’s past, present and future. She combines a deep understanding of architecture, materials, and design with a keen ability to connect with her clients. Her unique combination of talents and expertise has earned her a reputation as an inspiring designer.

“My passion for design started early in my life, inspired by the sensory memories of the places of my childhood; the attic bedroom window with the sill that nearly touched the floor, the plain brown siding and creaky front steps of our house on the busy city street, the light that bathed my bedroom of our midcentury modern ranch, the yellow home in Portugal with the bread oven tucked under the eaves of the downstairs kitchen.

A home is not just a physical structure and a container of our things, but a living entity that plays an active role in shaping our individual and shared experiences.

The power of storytelling and history are the catalysts to creating a home that is truly profound, one that serves as a co-creator of your life story, filled with memories and experiences that last a lifetime.”

Enclosed by century-old brick and heavy timber, the space bridges architectural structure with human scale—offering a collection of curated objects, tailored furnishings, and natural textures that imbue a space with feeling. It is a place to observe light and material, gather inspiration, and engage in the shared language of design.
