We believe a home achieves true coherence only when its structure, interiors, and objects are conceived together. By orchestrating every layer, from initial site design to custom furnishings and final styling, we craft unified environments that feel considered, complete, and deeply personal.

PRINCIPAL DESIGNER & FOUNDER
Susana Goss is a North Carolina–based designer who crafts homes for those seeking a life rooted in place and personal history.
Her work is shaped by a rich, cross-cultural perspective rooted in both Europe and the United States and guided by the belief that building a home is a profound process of discovery. She views space not merely as a structure, but as a sanctuary—one that reveals what is essential, honors what is cherished, and shapes who we become over time.
Her practice brings together a deep philosophy of home with a rigorous professional foundation. Holding a Bachelor of Architecture, Susana began her career in Boston contributing to complex urban infrastructure, multi-family housing, and high-end custom residences, while also serving as an Adjunct Professor of Architecture.
With over 25 years of experience, her work bridges historical continuity with modern family life, approaching every project with craft and stewardship to create homes that are deeply intentional, transformative, and built to endure across generations.
“My passion for design started early in my life, inspired by the sensory memories of the places of my childhood; the attic bedroom window with the sill that nearly touched the floor, the creaky front steps of our house on the busy city street, the afternoon light that bathed my bedroom of our midcentury modern ranch, the yellow home in Portugal with the bread oven tucked under the eaves of the kitchen.
A home is not just a physical structure and a container of our things, but a living entity that plays an active role in shaping our individual and shared experiences.

Located in historic Pilot Mill, the studio is designed as an immersive extension of our Whole Home philosophy. Enclosed by century-old brick and heavy timber, the space bridges architectural structure with human scale—offering a collection of curated objects, tailored furnishings, and natural textures that imbue a space with feeling. It is a place to observe light and material, gather inspiration, and engage in the shared language of design.
